Worlds of Fun and KCTV5 present "Ride with 5", a charity auction for the first official rides on the new PROWLER roller coaster benefiting Susan G. Komen For the Cure - Greater Kansas City. The park will auction pairs of seats on the first two trains to the highest bidders, who will be the first official riders on the park's new coaster.

As well as helping a great cause, winning bidders will be among the first in the world to ride PROWLER on May 2, 2009. Winning bidders will receive:

A Great Cause

One hundred percent of the proceeds from the PROWLER 'Ride with 5' event will go to Susan G. Komen For the Cure - Greater Kansas City. Since 1993, Komen Kansas City has granted $5.3 million into the Greater Kansas City area for breast health education, breast cancer screening, and treatment programs. Komen Kansas City has also funded over $1.6 million for national breast cancer research. For more information on Komen, click here.   Because Komen Kansas City is a 501 (C) (3) not-for-profit, the donation from top bidders is tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the IRS tax code. The minimum bid begins at $100.00 and is for a pair of seats (side by side) on one of the first two official trains. To submit a bid, simply send an email to with "Prowler Bid" as the subject line. Bid's may be increased at any time up to the close of bidding, 10:00 am CST on Wednesday, April 29, 2009. Current bids may be viewed HERE. Please allow up to 12 hours for your bid to post. Bid amounts will be processed in the order in which the email is received. Please bid in $5 increments.

How It Works

The highest bidder will receive first choice of available seats, and remaining winning bidders will be placed according to their bid amount through the last seat on the second train. Upon the the close of bidding, on 10:00 am CST on Wednesday, April 29, 2009, final winning bids will be posted and winners notified via email with further instructions. Guests must be at least 48 inches in height to ride Prowler. The ride will take place around 9:30 am on Saturday, May 2.
